Redefining Innovation at Kontron: Where Leadership, AI, and Sustainability Converge

Kontron is not only a global leader in IoT - it is also pioneering how it nurtures its future leaders.

Every year, Kontron runs its Sustainable Leadership Academy program, bringing together future leaders from across the organization.

For the Sustainable Leadership Academy in 2025, Kontron partnered with Kimolian to deliver its flagship program "Accelerate Innovation with AI".

The program, co-designed and delivered by Kimolian's Founder Eleni Lialiamou based in the United Kingdom and Build Future Habits Founder Kasia Sadowska, based in Austria, emphasized practical skills and future habits: using AI responsibly, embedding sustainability into decision-making, and strengthening collaboration across geographies.

Through the Sustainable Leadership Academy, 22 senior executives from 8 departments, and three continents came together on a learning journey that blended AI literacy, sustainable product thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.

The Journey

What unfolded over twelve weeks was not simply a course. It was a cross-continental innovation lab - where future leaders learned, experimented, and applied. They worked with AI tools, synthesized real user data, and co-created prototypes, all while working on a real brief.

The journey culminated in a graduation in Vienna was not just a milestone but a celebration of what it means to lead with purpose.

What the Program Delivered

Over six biweekly sessions, the Academy equipped 22 executives with the skills to:

• Drive Digital Transformation: Confidently adopt AI tools, automate processes, and reduce resistance to change.
• Make Better Decisions: Apply data analytics, machine learning, and predictive tools for faster, more accurate decision-making.
• Build Sustainable Practices: Integrate responsibility and compliance into product development and team culture.

• Close Skills & Compliance Gaps: Gain advanced digital fluency and prepare for regulatory demands like the EU AI Act.
